6 Fantastic Family Friendly attractions in Las Vegas

'What is there for my kids to do in Vegas?' The common question!

Coming to Las Vegas with anyone under 21 can be challenging. Let us help you to navigate the waters (or fountains!) and lead you to a successful vacation. You'll soon find out that there are plenty of things to experience no matter the age.

Attractions

Las Vegas opened its doors to a more family orientated audience in the 90's and the resorts have been building their offers to the younger generations ever since. Whilst there are many activities for those with an ID to do, there are plenty of fun filled opportunities for those who do not possess that piece of plastic with the bad photo. Here are a few little ideas to guide you through all of those many options.

Free and Easy: The Bellagio Conservatory is a must see in Las Vegas. It is located at the far end of the hotel lobby directly and next to the parking garage elevators. It is a seasonal exhibition of floral wonder which is changed for Spring, Summer, Harvest, Holiday and Lunar New Year. The installations are always fitted to the season and are never repeated. Be aware that when the season is changing it takes a week to be turned around, when that process is going on there is no access to the area. The change of installation takes 5 days so always check the website to make sure you are not wasting your time trying to see something you can't.

While you are at the Bellagio, then just a few steps the opposite direction of the conservatory you will be outside in the grand entrance of the property and at the iconic fountains. The show is a must for all ages of Vegas and a truly classic icon of the City. The shows are every 30 minutes from midday to 7.30pm and every 15 minutes from 8pm until Midnight. The music is on rotation, so make sure to watch a few shows. At least 1 with the hotel behind you and then from Las Vegas Boulevard so that you can see the elegance of the Bellagio also. If you were also feeling peckish there are family friendly restaurants at the Bellagio like Lago, Mon Ami Gabi at the Paris across the street and Cabo Wabo outside the Miricle Mile shops.

Hidden gem: The Wynn and Encore are two of the most opulent properties on the Las Vegas strip. The fresh seasonal flower displays in the beautiful Wynn atrium are a wonder to behold and very handy for some special pictures too! If you look well enough, just before the escalators on the right-hand side you will see a small sign and set of doors. These take you out to a balcony which doubles up as a viewing area for the wonderful Lake of Dreams. During the day it is a pretty lake with a waterfall, but after 7pm every 30 minutes until midnight, just for 3 minutes at a time, it is transformed into a fabulous show. It is a random playlist and completely different each time.

Worth the money: The ARTE Museum has everything for adults and children to awaken your senses with amazing multi-sensory installations combining light, sound and scent. From the start you are in the middle of an infinite waterfall, and it just keeps bring the magic from there on. There is a super cool create-your-own safari wall area with various animal templates which you can colour in and scan through a machine which then transport the animal into the ether and drop it into the safari meaning it appears animated in front of your very eyes. I would absolutely advise to spend the extra $5 to experience the ARTE Cafe where the table will come alive uniquely for you while the fish try and sip your drink!

Experience worthy: For teenagers, first stop Omega Mart! Based in Area 15, just a few minutes ride from the Strip is a supermarket like no other. If you've never seen a tattooed chicken or nut-free salted peanuts this is the place for you! We're just walking into a weird supermarket, right? Well, yes. Until you're not! Just past the refrigerators, you are able to walk through to the back offices and discover the dark secrets which reveal just how weird, wonderful and eerie the No.1 supermarket in the world is! Finding yourself in a toxic waste spill you get to witness exactly what goes on behind the scenes. We would recommend paying the additional $3 for the Omega Access package and enhancing your experience in this magical land embarking on a special treasure hunt. When you are finished with the experience, check out the rest of Area 15 to get your senses overloaded by exploring the other attractions like Five Iron Golf which brings you more than golf and Wink World to really tingle your inter artist or Liftoff a rising platform with a unique view of the Strip.

Now with the expansion of Area15 in 2026 to include another district there are even more out of this world adventures like Interstellar ARC (A VR intergalactic expedition), the Great Big Gameshow where the family can go head-to-head against each other with competitive hosted games or work together to solve an escape room and Universal's Horror Unleashed area there is even more over at Vegas's newest 'District'. The two areas are connected by the G.I.T. trolley and both sides have parking, just be aware that is free on the original side and paid in the new garage in the new area.

For younger children - DISCOVERY Children's Museum is a great way to spark their curiosity. The museum is based in The Symphony Park area of Downtown Las Vegas and has been sparking joy and curiosity for over 30 years. It is an interactive museum which provides fun and unique experiences with affordable admission.

Glow in the dark: Located in the shopping area at the back of the Horseshoe Casino floor is the Twilight Zone Mini Golf. It is an extraordinary, themed adventure that will take you straight to the 5th Dimension. Family packages can be purchased in advance online at a discount (Las Vegas Indoor Mini Golf | Twilight Zone Mini Golf) for the 18-hole glow in the dark course and if that wasn't enough fun for you there is also mini-bowling and arcade games. Once you are finished taking in the action, the food court is just a few steps away to grab a quick bite.
