6 Las Vegas attractions to get everyone involved
We know there are many more things than 6 Las Vegas attractions to get everyone involved, but our bite-sized blogs help give a little more depth and personal insight into some of them without throwing you in too deep.
Las Vegas is certainly a city where you can wing-it when you get here, but because there are so many options, which aren’t always obvious, it’s always worth having a rough idea of what you want to get ticked off. Even if you don’t know when and if you can fit it in. We definitely don’t want you to waste a precious minute on planning when you are here, unless you like sitting in a hotel room, so we aim to prepare you a little.
This blog starts North of the famous Strip in Downtown and works its way down to the South end. It will give you some great pointers for things to keep Adults and kids alike entertained and amused.
Mob Museum - Immerse yourself at the National Museum of Organized Crime and Law Enforcement, including the era that hugely contributed to Las Vegas history and helped to sculpt its future. The Mob Museum is a fully expansive museum for all things mob, from the origins in Europe and beyond, to the roots in the USA. Based in Downtown Las Vegas in the original joint Post Office and Courthouse Building, walk up the steps and find yourself transported back in time. Take the elevator up to the 3rd floor where the tour begins and walk through the decades to the future as you travel back down to the ground floor. On the way you will encounter artifacts and replicas from over the years, part of the Valentine's Day Massacre wall, a trial hearing, a mini-casino and even an electric chair. If visiting as a family, why not add the scavenger hunt to your experience. Open from 9am - 9pm daily be encapsulated into a different world.
For the grown-ups visiting without minors visiting the Underground speakeasy bar in the basement of the building is a must, you can also get in without going to the museum, it is open Sun-Thurs 11am - 11pm, (Til midnight Fri & Sat).

Freemont Street Experience - While in the Downtown vicinity you must check out the Freemont Street Experience. This five block canopy of lights, Viva Vision, is a one-of-a-kind spectacle that will keep you entertained with its unique reels and displays. Accompanied by a hugely vast array of street performers, from Showgirls who lead little to the imagination and will give you some memorable pictures to dancing Gorilla’s, magicians and dance troops Freemont Street may only be a few miles from the elegance of the huge Strip properties but couldn’t be more different. With its own glamour and history “Old Vegas”, as it is often referred, because it is where the city was born, is in your face no holds barred fun.
Side note: If you can, pop into the Golden Nugget and head towards the Shark Tank for an additional little surprise with their individual pool area.
And then just when you thought it couldn’t get any wilder, nighttime comes and it’s all change again! From 6pm on the hour every hour till 2am the canopy is taken over by a pop artist and dedicated solely to them for around 10 minutes, from Katy Perry, Blink-182, the Chainsmokers plus more, including newly added The Killers, the whole of Freemont parties. If that wasn’t enough for a sensory overload there are 3 permanent stages with various bands or DJ’s playing all night. On top of all that most of the Casinos have their own bar on the street with beers and frozen yard cocktails. You will certainly be dancing in the streets. Keep an eye out for the Downtown Rocks series where big artists perform for free concerts, usually on the 3rd Street main stage.
Be aware that if you are taking the kids with you, it is much more advised to visit in the daytime, and if you are planning on being there in the evening with the kids sometime there can be curfews in place. Either way you will still have great fun and will most certainly be laughing at one thing or another.
If you continue past the Slotzilla Tower you will find the lively East Freemont area with street bars, Evel Pie for tasty pizzas surrounded by the legend Evel Knievel's memorabilia, Container Park and Fergusons Motel for some great local businesses.

That itself should therefore make it onto your to-do list during your visit. There are 28 capsules which take a 30-minute rotation and can fit up to 40 people. Giving a 360° view of the valley, these all-glass pods make sure that you are able to get a great view to the very edges of the mountains and the horizon beyond. Take in the Sphere, Caesar's Palace, The Flamingo, Downtown and everything in-between. With benches inside you have the option to sit or stand, also make it easily accessible to everyone in your group and as the pods are air-conditioned, even in the hottest of Summer’s you can relax. There is a bar before embarking making sure that you can sip n’ see and because this is Vegas there is also a happy hour package with an in-pod bar tender, only for the over 21’s obvs, or you can even get married in a pod! Our biggest tip, go for an early evening ride and soak up the mountain view just before sunset.

Titanic - As Las Vegas really does have something to offer everyone, we’re sure you will not be surprised to learn we have the wonderful Titanic exhibition. Found nestled up on the Atrium floor of the Luxor this walk-through attraction can take as much time as you wish. When you enter you are given a card depicting a person whose history and experience you get to find out on the way out. Get to really immerse yourselves in what it would have felt like to be a passenger on this historic steam liner, make sure to prepare yourself for an encounter with a real iceberg and a walk on the outside deck of the ship along with real artifacts and a replica of the iconic staircase. There is also an actual piece of the ship's hull and the story behind how it was excavated, so spend as long as you can, but plan to give yourselves at least 45 minutes to an hour to get through and prepare for a lot of steps! This is Vegas after all.

Bodies - Right next to the Titanic exhibition at the Luxor can be found the world-renowned Bodies exhibition. Lose yourself in this super interesting attraction which displays cross sections of bodies which have been preserved through an innovative process. Resulting in a showcase of real bodies which delve into the internal working of what goes on beneath our skin. The exhibition is fascinating and will really expand your admiration for the powerhouses that our Bodies are.
As this is a self-guided walk-through experience there is no time limit for being inside, give yourself at least 45 minutes if you are planning to add this as a stop during your travels, but you can stay as long as the fascination takes you. Last entry is 1 hour before closing time.

One of the extra benefits of Titanic and Bodies (both at Luxor) is that you can purchase a combo ticket which will grant you entry into both exhibitions. Better still, if you are an MGM Rewards member there may be additional savings, so make sure to speak to the Box office directly outside.
